Junior High Summer Tutoring

Need to build up or keep your academic edges strong? Christian Liberty Academy Junior High is offering tutoring over the summer. The program will be from June 3rd to July 12. Mrs. Darby will be running a Reading Comprehension program from 8-10am, and Mr. Shrinski is running a Math program from 10a-12pm every day.

Congratulations, Makala!

Makala Hayashida, one of our seniors, competed at the state level in the Hawaii Science and Engineering Fair this week. His project, entitled “Testing the Bottom-Up Formation of Galaxy Clusters,” looked at five galaxy clusters. For each one, he measured its mass and determined the average age of its stellar population; as a result, he found that the more massive a cluster is, the older its galaxies’ stars tend to be–which gives us information about how these clusters form. His project won second place in the state in his category. He also won a full four-year scholarship to his choice of UH Mānoa or UH Hilo. Many congratulations to Makala for his hard work!

Players must have a valid sports physical on file to participate.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 3:30PM – 5:00PM
• Thursday & Friday: 3:30PM – 5:30PM
• Dates/times will vary depending on game schedule
