Many of you know Sacha Orozco, who (along with her two boys) has been a great blessing to us at Christian Liberty. You may also know that her immigration status has been tied up in bureaucracy for years, and that her Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is expiring at the end of September. If nothing changes, she (along with her family) will need to leave the country at that point. Due to the earthquakes earlier this year, many people are sending petitions to Marco Rubio (Secretary of State) and Markwayne Mullin (Secretary of Homeland Security), asking them to extend TPS for Venezuelans. If you know Sacha or her children—and if you are interested in adding your voice—here is a copy of the petition being sent. One would need to print two copies, sign them both, and then mail one to Secretary Rubio and the other to Secretary Mullin (their mailing addresses are at the top of the letter). We want to make clear that Sacha has *not* asked us to put this announcement in the Friday letter—we are doing this of our own volition. Also, we do not view sending (or not sending) the petition as any sort of political or personal statement—doing so is purely voluntary. But we wanted you to know about this opportunity.
