Puna Baba Art Exhibit

The Conflict Country Culture Art Exhibit is an event that is seeking to raise money to support the outfitting of a library in Bamyan, Afghanistan.

In the summer of 2019, Christian Liberty Academy principal, Troy Rimel, went on a trip to Afghanistan and met many people there, some, in particular, being connected to local schools as well as students there. Seeing the needs of schools and students’ in Bamyan, he shared his experience with students at Christian Liberty Academy upon returning to Hawai’i.

Since then, a handful of Christian Liberty Academy students joined the High School Partners for Peace, an affiliate of Global Hope International, and formed the Puna Baba Group with the goal of supporting the library project in Bamyan, Afghanistan.

This event is put on by the Puna Baba Group and will be featuring original pieces by young female artists from the Women’s Empowerment centers in Afghanistan. All proceeds will go towards supporting a library project in Bamyan, Afghanistan.
